Personally I think Dig Out Your Soul is another great album from a very great band. It’s not the next ‘(Whats the Story) Morning Glory’ but most people where expecting that. The 90′s have gone but at least the band are moving on. However, if you listen to Dig Out Your Soul, you would be mistaken for thinking you where in the 60′s. Many of the tracks do sound very similar to the Beatles. But then again they are one of the Oasis’ biggest influances so it’s no surprise. I don’t want to write a full review, I could write in detail about every song but then I would probably end up writing a whole book along with my own autobiography so I won’t. I will mention the following songs though:
Bag It Up, a great intro for the album and probably one of my favourites off the album. Alot of people have been agreeing with me.
Waiting For the Rapture has gone down a storm at Live Shows. Liam isn’t happy that it’s sung by brother Noel, but I think Big Brother has made a splendid job of singing it.
Another song worth mentioning is not by the hand of chief song writer, Noel, but by brother Liam. I’m outta time is probably the best song off the album as most reviews are saying. It is certainly the best song he has written of his career, if not the classic Songbird, and shown the rest of the band he is just as good as brother Noel. Adding to this is his voice. Liam tends to have a more ‘grizzly’ voice nowadays but in this case, he sounds much more like his former, younger self. Job done Liam!
Like I said I could write about every song but there you go. So please give me your rating of Dig Out Your Soul. For me 8/10.
Cheers.

Personally, I don’t like it all.
Oasis songs are all the same. Don’t get me wrong, some of their songs are brilliant, wonderwall, she is love, etc etc.
But they should have stopped ages ago!
i was very dissapointed in this album, i give it a 4/10 theres not a wow track on it! they are starting to grind my gears and every song is starting to sound the same as the last, when they star an intro u can never guess what song it is. i think they should quit now while they have some credibility :O
Overall a good album I would say. The first five tracks I thought were fantastic upon first listening to the album, and the rest of the tracks are ok too. Probably one of their best since the first two fantastic albums.
i think it’s one of their best albums. it really does sound like a 60′s albums with a lot of psychedelic moments. 9/10
love it, love it, love it!!!!
It’s the best album they’ve done since Be Here Now. I love it. They’ve found a new sound that works really well and aren’t trying to make another Morning Glory or copy what everyone else is doing right now. They’ve definitely still got it.
The bonus disc with the box set of the album is great too, Boy With The Blues should have made the album, it’s Liam’s best song.
I’m just a bit disappointed they’ve dropped B-Sides in favour of remixes.
I’d say it’s 9/10.
how good an album is can be judged on how long you keep going back to it you listen to beatles albums and even 40 odd years after release they still interest you i stopped listening to the oasis album after a week so my verdict ok but nothing new or paricularly interesting
love it!
i saw them recently and they played a few new ones,it was amazing!!!
im outta time is probably my fav one off dig out your soul, apparently its written about or in memory of john lennon
8/10
Not heard it. It’s their first album since What’s The Story I haven’t purchased on the release day. I wasn’t too impressed with their last 3 albums so I didn’t have much desire to rush out and buy the new one. A few of my mates have it and said it’s decent and it seems to have had quite favourable reviews. I’ll get round to buying it eventually I suppose but it’s not high priority, cheers for the mini review though sunsheeeine!
Will, you obviously know what im going to say; Its rubbish! because Oasis are Gay-asis! They are awful and they always get into fights and that are ***!
