Historically the working class were defined by manual labour and middle class tended to be the white collar workers, but the boundaries have become less defined. A plumber ( working class ) can now earn more ( and work less ) than a teacher ( middle class).

The difference between working, middle and upper class is money.

You either have little, enough or too much.

Middle class is like you have money to do the things that you want like take your family on a summer vacation

Working Class is when you basically just working to pay your bills and take care of your needs. You don’t have as much to worry about your wants .

I’ll tell you the difference (according to my humanities teacher)

Middle class: at least 100,000 in investments and savings. Well to do, but not high class.

working class: Less than 100,000 in savings and investments and having to work hard.

For starters I wouldn’t consider a van driver to be middle class thats for sure.
