It doesn’t cost anything to enter the contest, or to make an entry to the paper.
I am the Creative Writing Editor for the Street Sights newspaper, and I extended the deadline so that we would get more entries.
The reason that the contest is limited to Rhode Island is to enable the people in our newspapers distribution area a chance to win.
However, if anyone anywhere has a poem that they would like put in our newspaper, feel free to send one in.
Click on our wesite above and check it out.

Why restrict it to Rhode Island ?
What if my poetry is always lively contested….can I still enter Rhode Island?
And what’s the cost to enter? Are you a legitimate representative of the organization for which you are advertising. This seems fishy.
