All passengers on all Royal Caribbean ships must pay a fare and there are no exceptions for children no matter what their age. BUT, if you are traveling with kids and you have more than two people staying in your cabin, the 3rd and 4th passengers in the same cabin pay a reduced fare that is generally about 50 percent of the fare for the first two. So if you and spouse pay a fare of $800 each then the kids would pay a fare of about $400 each.

This is what is on Royal Caribbean’s web site:

“Q: Are there special prices for children or infants?
A: Because Royal Caribbean cruise vacations offer so many special activities for children, we do not usually offer discounted rates. However, anyone staying in the same stateroom with two full-fare paying guests will pay a special third and/or fourth guest rate. So if you intend on having your children stay in your stateroom, their rate may be lower. “

Children under the age of 2 are classed as infants until their 2nd birthday.

Most travel firms won’t charge a child’s place for infants.

Ask your travel agents, or the company you are booking with about their polices with regards to infants travelling.
