Artist(s)/Band(s) you saw live recently or are seeing soon?

oasis live
David asked:

Last three concerts you saw? [Paul McCartney, Steve Miller Band, and Pixies w./ Mew for me.]

Next concert(s) you’re planning to attend? [Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs, Jimmy Fallon, and Editors for me.]

Bonus Q: Which artist/band you’ve not yet seen live do you most want to catch before you die? [Blur for me. Noel Gallagher is a close runner-up, either solo or with a reformed Oasis.]
Sounds as if David Bowie should mount another world tour. ;-) I, too, would love to see him live.

Pretty impressive gigs you’ve listed there, my last three are Good Shoes, The Maccabees and InMe

Next I’m planning to attend – The Temper Trap, only one that’s planned at the moment though.

Before I die: Incubus, David Bowie, Radiohead

Last three: Alice Cooper (Oct.) (holy crap it made my life complete), Motley Crue (last Nov.), haven’t been to one before that, besides like..Jeffree Star back in the day (years ago), and I didn’t go willingly. And I left after two songs. haha.

Next: New York Dolls (I WILL see them, dammit), and Alice Cooper again (he tours in ’10 sometime). That’s all I know for sure right now..

BA: Ozzy Osbourne (yeah, so I’ve heard he ***** live/can’t sing. It’s *Ozzy* though.), New York Dolls (they’re my heroes), and David Bowie (is an explanation really needed here?)

edit* He’d better bloody have another world tour. :/.

    -Ensiferum, Blackguard, and Lazarus AD
-Russian Circles, Young Widows, Helms Alee

    Next:
Tonight, seeing Havenside, This Old Pistol, The Descolada Virus, Tag You’re Dead, Absolute Zero (local Show)
    next touring show:
The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Beneath the Massacre, Enfold Darkness, Suffokate (a week from Sunday)

BQ: I would love to see Agalloch, The Ocean, Cult of Luna, Isis, Gojira. there are many others, too

Edit: have now returned from the “tonight show”. The Descolada Virus was great. I have seen them play 6 times now, and they debuted a new song in tonight’s show. Now, the other two bands that played before I left, not so good. Let’s put this in context here: The Descolada Virus is a Deathcore band (think The Faceless, but less technical, rather than ******* Silence). The first band to play, Tag You’re Dead was a crappy scene band. The vocalist could growl well enough, but the clean vocals weren’t good, and The music sounded pretty immature (like it was written by a junior high-school student). I could hear more Blink-182 in the instrumentals than I could Slayer. (I won’t mention the fact that the vocalist pretended to ‘rock out’ on a Guitar Hero controller in the middle of the performance*). After they played, The Descolada Virus came on. I have seen the majority of the shows that they have played (at least since they adopted their current lineup), and this one was probably the best performance I have seen out of them. It didn’t hurt that this is also pretty much the only one I have been t where there were other people (aside from my friends and me) who were there to see them. The next band to come on was a pop-punk band whose members appeared to be in jr. high school (The only reason that they were playing this high up in the order is because apparently they managed to sell quite a few tickets) I won’t fault them, because for their age, and what they were trying to do, I would say they succeeded. But still, It was weird watching a deathcore band open for a much less experienced pop-punk band. We left after that, though. I had mostly gone for Descolada (well, *only* gone for Descolada, actually), and my friend said that the other bands were just more of the same.
So there you go- a little concert synopsis

    *Well, I guess I will

  6. Destroy the Jonas Brothers - July 26th, 2010 at 9:15 pm

The only concert I have been to was the Metallica/ Lamb of god/ Gojira tour on Sept.15. I’ve only been to one concert because every band I want to see never comes to my hometown, or anywhere close. They all go to DC, and California, and all those western states, or they’re in the UK >=(

Surprisingly enough, I got lucky enough to be notifyed that Lamb of god was coming to Cincinnati, I did not stutter to buy tickets.
